Walker Elliott is working with an upstream oil and gas company dedicated to production and development activities. They are seeking to hire a skilled and experienced Development Geologist to join their team in Houston. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in optimizing their existing oil and gas assets, with a focus on waterflooding projects.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze well logs, core samples, seismic data and production data to characterize reservoir properties and assess reservoir performance.
• Generate geological maps, cross sections, volumetric assessments to support reservoir management decision and development planning.
• Monitor reservoir performance and implement strategies to optimize production, EOR and minimize operational risks.
• Conduct geological evaluation of existing reservoir to identify potential opportunities for waterflooding projects.

Requirements:

• BS/MS in Geology
• 5+ yrs. in recent geological role
• Waterflooding conventional (US onshore)
• Unconventional L48
• Proficiency with Petra/Geographix

Only local, Houston, candidates will be considered for the position. No relocation offered.
